Product and Measurements

In this section, define the Product, Measurement and Part Identifier. For VNA measurements, the sub-Measurements would be either magnitude or phase alone or magnitude and phase. The “Table” and “X” and “Y” fields are where the S-parameter data is placed into the database.

The “Calibration” is an existing calibration and standards from the calibration database, the user must first define a calibration with standards before it becomes available to select here (though an actual calibration isn't performed).

Parameters

In this section, device parameters are programmed. If the “Constant Value” button is pressed, this parameter is a DB-programmed value, good examples are start and stop frequencies, number of frequency points to measure, marker constants, etcetera. VNA values such as f_start, f_stop and freqs_idx must be spelled out correctly to program the VNA interface (a VNA “wizard” is available to help). If the “Constant Value” is not enabled, the VNA operator will be prompted for information and the Value shall be used as a default. Prompted data shall be placed into the “Field” of the “param_table” of the database.
